- Is it really safe to convert bank statements here?
- Yes — and you don't have to take our word for it. OwlParse parses your PDF entirely inside your browser using PDF.js and on-device OCR. The file is never uploaded; you can verify in your browser's network tab that nothing leaves your machine. Cloud converters upload your clients' financial data to their servers — we simply never receive it.
- Which banks are supported?
- Any US bank or credit card statement in PDF form. The parser reads table layouts geometrically instead of relying on per-bank templates, so Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, credit unions and hundreds of others work out of the box. European formats (dates like 01.02.2026 and amounts like 1.234,56) are supported too.
- Does it work with scanned or photographed statements?
- Yes. If a page has no text layer, built-in OCR recognizes it right in your browser — still without uploading anything.
- How do I know the numbers are right?
- Every conversion runs a reconciliation check: opening balance + credits − debits must equal the closing balance. You see the result verified before you export, and you can edit any cell inline.
